Workers examine the photovoltaic panels on the roof of factories in Tianma Heavy Equipment Co., Ltd in Deqing County, east China's Zhejiang Province, Jan. 29, 2015. It is almost one year by the end of January since the heavy equipment maker installed the first batch of 63,000 photovoltaic panels on its factory roofs. These panels, which cover an area of 200,000 square meters, are able to generate 50,000 kilowatt-hours of power on average each day, with the peak daily output at 80,000 kilowatt-hours. Tianma has invested a total of 450 million yuan (about 72 million US dollars) in building its 32-megawatt photovoltaic project, which is expected to annually generate 31.48 million kilowatt-hour of power, equivalent to power consumption by more than 10,000 families. snapress@snakorea.com
